Fast forward a few years, he not only knows his ABCs but is reading.
Here is one thing that I did to expose him early on.

I figured since we were up and down the stairs all day, we could say the alphabet and point us various letters as we traveled. Now I take some of the work we do and tack it above the letter that the picture represents. Our elephant (made at the library) goes above "E" and the blueberry painting goes above "B".
We have gotten a little off track lately because "life" happens sometimes but we are following the well planned guidelines from Letter of the Week to help us make it through the alphabet. This Mom has great ideas on books to read and activities to do for each letter if you are creatively challenged like me!

Thanks for the link to Letters of the Week. I am starting to make a "favorites" file under homeschooling for Pre-K.
I will have to keep up with your blog to see how you manage your day with both toddlers and teens...
Great idea! I could see this expand as he gets older with number posters or maps even.
What a great idea! Thank you for sharing it!
Great idea! I taught my DS his letters around two by using similar sheets each day then following it up with printing a favorite picture of something starting with the letter pulled from the computer, all saved in sheet protectors in a binder. Now, 3 years later, we still browse through the binder for reinforcement!
I'm reading this with my 3-year old in my lap. She likes your pictures - apparently, we're coming to your house today... or so she thinks! She just wants to play on your stairs! Thanks for the tip. Apparently my toddlers would love it!
Thanks for the tip! This is a neat idea and I am frantically cutting and pasting the Letter of the Week info into Word so I can print it out and use I with my youngest.
What a time/sanity saver!!
Thanks again!
What a great idea!
great idea I will remember this one for when Daniel is a little bit older
I'll be checking out the Letter of the Week site. Thanks for the tip! I've been looking for good ideas to incorporate learning for my recently turned two toddler.
