Road Trip - Day 1

We left home until to stop 20 minutes later for lunch. You KNOW my goal oriented husband was not exactly happy about that. He was a good sport though. It is vacation! The kids love this McDonald's. It is next to the zoo and has awesome decor for the theme.

And we're off! After lunch is naptime. We try to maintain some semblance of routine. It makes for happier little people



The kiddos slept through two state lines :)



Jessie was truly enjoying being the captain of his ship!



As soon as we made a stop, Kano made a break for the front seat. He is forbidden from being up here so it makes it that much more enticing. I shouldn't have let him...I should have enforced the rule....but...it was such a great photo-op!



It's nightfall. We stopped for dinner and then got comfy again!



We are mixing work for Jessie and vacation so we had the privilege of staying in an Embassy Suites (free nice hotel + free tasty breakfast). Jessie travels quite a bit with his job and he used points to get us an adjoining room. Talk about luxury. My mind was set to batten down the hatches and fit six folks into one room :). Imagine my delight that we could spread out. I think Gracie and Bessie were even more overjoyed :)



Settle down boys! Stop jumping on the bed!
