After flying for about 16 hours, we are not back in the U.S., laying over in New York, waiting on our flight home. I'm sitting in the Admiral's Club (a wonderful perk when flying with my frequent-flyer husband), grateful for internet access. My laptop is dead and is charging so I still can't send any pictures but I do have something to post today about homelife and kiddos. Can you tell what's on my mind!
Getting home to see my chillun'!
As much as I miss them, I am enjoying every long flight and every lay over. A Mommy's job is a hard and taxing one. I'm grateful for the opportunity to be still, be with my husband, enjoy some "me time", and live life without another human being on my hip or on my lap or in my bed or in my hair or....well you get the picture.
In all seriousness, the trip was a wonderful break! I was able to rest when I wanted to (a luxury), finish two books (never a possibility at home), watch four movies (on the airplane), sit and be served hot meals that I didn't have to share, and hold my husband's hand in the middle of the day...whenever I wanted to.
There's so much to tell...I can't wait.
As a matter of fact, I'll have a lot to share in the coming weeks anyway. As soon as we get home tonight, we are packing up the kids, getting the housesitter straight, then pulling off in the morning on our RV for a two week roadtrip.
Hope to see you along for the ride!
