So I'm going to be keeping a ticker at the top of my blog page...
I've been working out at my local 24 Hour Fitness. They started running a special in September that give 6 personal training sessions for $49. You can't beat that. So I signed up. As a part of this program, they are running a contest and we are divided up by teams and everything. The winning team gets to go out to Pappadeaux!
I had my first training session this morning with Cophie, my new trainer, . It was short, only 30 minutes, and definitely grueling. Not so much a use of weights but more of using my body as my weight and having to use ALOT of strength to exercise the body parts we were aiming at. My legs are pretty strong but my upper body is a mess. Anything involving my arms to balance my body...it's hard work! Oh...and my abs are a mess too. Two babies back to back plus a C-section for the last one equals a weak core....YUCK!
As a way for me to hold myself accountable, I thought I start posting here about my weight loss journey. Maybe somebody wants to join me in my quest to lose some weight? I weigh in every Saturday morning.
My short term goal is another 15 pounds. That's what I've used on my the new ticker that is at the top of my blog. My husband and I plan on having another little one and losing 15 more pounds would make me feel like I'm at healthy weight for going through another pregnancy. I'm hoping to accomplish the weight loss by the end of this year.
My long term "realistc" goal would involve losing another 20 pounds after that for a total of 35 more pounds. My trainer is trying to convince me to go for this goal now so that I don't have so much work to do after another pregnancy. That sounds well and good but I'm already anxious for another little one :) Cophie says that I could get to this in March...only another 3 months down the line from my short term goal.
I say realistic b/c I would be happy at this weight for the rest of my life. But is there another goal that I hide in the recesses of my heart? Yup! It's a dream though :)
